Gift ideas

It has been crazy busy here, and I apologize for the lapse in posting.  I have been coming up with some new ideas to whip up and helping my daughter with her sewing.  She loves making pillows.
I've had a few sales over the last few weeks which I am excited for.   The holiday gift giving season is upon us and we have some unique gifts available for you.

Chemo Port Pillows

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  We have a family history of breast cancer.  Several members have managed to beat it, and sadly, others have not.  I recently came across these Chemo Port Pillows when looking up ideas on how to use up scrap fabric.  I had a Aunt who passed away on Easter in 2018.  She was only in her 40's.  Her birthday is in October and I thought what better way to celebrate and remember her by creating these and donating them to others who are going through cancer.  These pillows help with pain and irritation from wearing seatbelts with a port in place.  I will be checking out cancer centers to see about donating them so their patients can receive one.  I will also have some on hand so if anyone needs one I have some to hand out.  There are reversible.

Tea Anyone?

Where are all my tea drinkers?  You will love my latest creation.  You can now carry all of your favorite tea flavors with you wherever you go.  Take it to your favorite restaurant, workplace, visiting friends and more.  6 pockets that can each holder several packets of tea, sweeteners, and flavor water packets.  Easy snap closure.  Looks much prettier than tossing them in a sandwich bag or losing them to the bottom of your purse.  You can find these on my fb group.  Check it out here.

Halloween!!!!

Yes,  I know it's still September.  But!  I've been working on a collection line of fun Halloween prints.  I am so excited!!  I will have a limited supply of fun  and useful items to get you into the Halloween mood with the prints.  Here is a photo of the fabric I am using.  I am planning on getting the collection line up by Monday, September 9th.  You will not want to miss out on these because once they are gone, they are gone!

Scruchies!!

Did someone say scrunchies?  I recently came across a youtube video on making scrunchies and boy are they super fun to make!  I have hid some of them though because my teen keeps saying how cute they are and snatches them up, lol.  I will be posting this in my fb group and on Etsy.    Here are some examples of what I have made over the last week or so.

Sewing Room Favorites

For those who sew, I have a few tips for you to make sewing more fun and less stressful.  First, pin cushions.  At first I only had 1.  I would pin my fabric at my cutting table, then proceed to the sewing machine and when I would take out the pins as I was sewing, I had no where to put them.  I would have to get up and move my pin cushion to the sewing machine.  Sometimes, I would be ironing seams and would need to pin and I'd have to look for my pin cushion.  I now have five pin cushions.  One is at my ironing board, 1 at my sewing machine and on my cutting tables.  Now where ever I am at, I have a pin cushion.  It saves a lot of time not having to get up from my machine and go looking for a pin cushion.

Next are my fabric baskets.  They are so useful.  I have 2 for my wonder clips.  One at my cutting table and another at my sewing machine.  I have one that holds pens, one for hot glue sticks and another for regular glue sticks.  They are fun to make and so cute!  There are so many uses for these around the home.  You can even put them in your car to hold spare change, phone chargers or trash.  I love making them out of old jeans.  It gives the basket more structure than just using all cotton fabric.
